SMARTpd webinars

A screenshot of a Pre-school Learning Alliance webinarA webinar is an online seminar that focuses on a specific topic that is both relevant and current for early years providers.

Here you can get free access to monthly SMARTpd webinars hosted by our own early years experts.

Participants are able to view a ‘live’ presentation and have the opportunity to submit questions and contribute to discussion. Each webinar lasts approximately 30 minutes and then remains available via our You Tube channel.

Our next webinar  — Supporting parents to keep children safe: Preventing Halloween and Bonfire accidents and injuries — is at 1pm on Friday, 27 October 2017.

Early years practitioners have an important role to play in helping to prevent accidents and injuries at any time, but there are undoubtedly significant times of year when children are more likely to be injured.

Practitioners should always seek ways to raise awareness with parents and to teach young children how to keep themselves safe in an age-appropriate way.

In this webinar Michael Freeston and Melanie Pilcher will discuss some of the seasonal risks to young children, including some startling facts that may surprise you.
